Davos is equally prized as a summer and winter destination: in winter, it is one of Switzerland’s largest contiguous ski areas, comprising Parsenn, Jakobshorn, Rinerhorn and Pischa, as well as a well-known destination for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing; in summer, it is a hiker’s and cyclist’s paradise with an extensive network of trails. Frauenkirch itself is an ideal starting point for hikes, for example towards the Sertigtal or the Rinerhorn – a fact that the Lengmatta’s loyal regulars, many of whom are locals, have appreciated for years.

The hotel has been continuously renovated and extended in recent years: the rooms are new, the restaurant has been enlarged and redesigned, and additional space has been created with the lovingly converted Heuställi. Schraemli’s Lengmatta has been awarded the ‘Four-Star **** Boutique Hotel’ classification by hotelleriesuisse.

The Schraemli family has been running the hotel since 2013 and, thanks in part to the excellent reputation of its cuisine featuring Grisons specialities and Swiss classics, has made it a household name in the Davos area.

Heuställi

• Lovingly converted from an old hay barn built using the traditional wattle-and-daub construction method.

• Interior fitted out with reclaimed timber, backlit pictures, two windows offering views of the valley.

• Up to 20 seats, available for exclusive hire or partial booking for cheese and meat fondue, as well as smaller events.

We are looking for

We are seeking an experienced restaurateur or host – or a couple – who would like to continue writing the Lengmatta’s success story with enthusiasm.

As well as a sound understanding of business management, we are looking for someone who takes pleasure in a location with a rich history, a loyal customer base and the combination of summer and winter tourism. The future business concept should be in keeping with the locality, the local community and the surrounding leisure and recreational environment. However, the conceptual direction is open and to be developed by the future leaseholders. We are also keen to know whether there is an interest in taking on existing staff.
